Norris Residence
Wenatchee, WAProject Summary
This home, perched high on the bluff above the Wenatchee River, had a landslide occur due to a major waterline failure. Emergency underpinning was accomplished in dead of winter, which posed a whole different group of challenges, stabilizing the home from falling down the ravine created by the water, which also had undermined the existing foundation. Once stable, a completely new foundation, including lateral tieback anchors, 2 and 3 inch pin piles, Geofoam insulation/grout backfill and a Shocrete wall under the house completed this challenging project.
